Spring 2011 Baseball Tryouts

Fall Tryout Process for Spring 2011 High School Baseball:
1. The tryout period begins on Tuesday, Aug 17 and will extend through our fall workouts ending Oct 30. Fall workouts and tryouts are FREE.
2. We work out on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. and Saturdays at 10:00 a.m.
3. Workouts are at Mark Twain Park in Richardson initially, but we will be moving to Breckinridge Park in Richardson sometime in September. The workouts will include drills, scrimmages, conditioning, and possibly some games against other teams.
4. Evaluations will be based upon skill, attitude, hustle, work ethic, and willingness to learn.
5. While we recommend that you attend as many practices as possible, you must attend at least one workout to be considered for a high school team.
6. We have an extended evaluation period for several reasons:
a. To give players multiple opportunities in multiple situations to show their talents
b. To give athletes involved in other sports opportunities to try out as their schedule allows
c. To give players an opportunity to improve and show a willingness to learn and work hard
7. We will make decisions about players throughout the fall completing this process by Nov 1. Notifications will go out as decisions are made.
8. For players that make a high school team, player fee is $450 (to be paid in full prior to the first game in the spring).

5. HSAA Expectations (read and understand)
6. Copy of Birth Certificate (new players to HSAA baseball only; bring to first practice)
