Volleyball practices begin in August immediately after mini-camp - a week long conditioning and training camp for all players. Our game season starts in August and continues through October. HSAA Volleyball games are played against area private schools. Our season also includes a few weekend tournaments for each team.
The High School Season ends with a trip to Nationals in Nebraska for our Varsity and JV Blue teams.
Scheduled games are posted on the individual team pages.
All HSAA Volleyball teams assist in hosting and attend the State Tournament in early October.
Program Costs include the HSAA membership fee, gym rentals, equipment, and tournament fees. Uniform costs are extra. Middle School Fees are approximately $400, plus the cost of one uniform. High School costs are approximately $500-$600, plus the cost of two uniforms. High School costs depend on the team you make. *Fundraising quota per player may be required in addition to the Program Cost. **Please note these costs are approximate and vary with each season.
QUALITY OF PLAY
This is competitive volleyball, with high school substitution rules. Unlike Rec Programs, there is no guarantee of playing time or position. Playing time will be based on skill-sets, hustle, ability, performance, not to mention attitude toward your teammates and others. HSAA will strive to provide as many professional training opportunities as possible. HSAA is NOT, however, a win-at-all-cost organization. Our goal is to provide a high-quality, balanced program where talented athletes can grow physically and spiritually and where Jesus Christ is honored in all respects.
HSAA coaches are volunteers. Parents will be asked to help provide logistical support. If you feel you have a skill that you could use to help the program, please let us know.
Also, our coaches have full-time jobs and are taking personal time from their families to support our program. Please remember this, and stay flexible. We stress to our players that all we do reflects who we are in Christ.
