HSAA Golf FAQ    

Q1: When are tournaments:

A1:  Tournaments typically start in mid-September for the Fall.  We anticipate the Varsity boys will play approximately four tournaments in the Fall and four in the Spring.  There may be additional opportunities, especially if HSAA hosts its own events.  For example, last year we had additional HSAA organized tournaments at Oakmont and Winstar.  And Nationals are in May.

Q2: What does it cost to be part of HSAA Golf?

A2: HSAA Dues are $75 per year, team dues are typically around $30 in the Fall and $30 in the Spring, Uniforms are typically around $60, and the only other major cost is tournaments that range in the $50-$75 range for one day tournaments to about double that for 2 day tournaments.

Q3: Who does the team play tournaments with?

A2: HSAA Golf team competes mostly with public schools and most tournament also include a few private schools. Most tournament have around 6 to 15 teams, the largest is around 20.

Q4: How do I join HSAA Golf?

Contact any golf coach or the golf commissioner. Generally for boys varsity, there is a qualifier in August. For 2025/26, we have a new varsity coach, Coach April Pyle, who was our former assistant coach. She may take things in a slightly different direction. We need a JV/second team coach, without a coach, there will be no second boys team. Contact the golf commissioner if interested.
